How Can We Help You?

Mid-Coast Family Services is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help individuals and families by eliminating family violence, homelessness, and substance abuse.  So, how does that involve you?

Perhaps you know someone who is in an unhappy relationship.  Are things just not working, or is the relationship unhealthy to the point of abuse?  Go to our Family Violence Prevention Program page and discover the difference between a bad relationship and one that’s truly dangerous.  Learn about the opportunities available for both victims and perpetrators.

Or maybe you are wondering if your use of drugs or alcohol is out of control.  The Outreach, Screening, Assessment, and Referral page has information that will guide you.  If you determine that you, or a family member, do have a problem, do you know what to do?  Let us help.

Maybe your child has come home from school talking about a Red Ribbon Week program at their school that was put on by Mid-Coast Family Services, & you’d like to know more.  Check out our Youth Services Department, & see all the great things we do with students to make them aware of, and resistant to, substance abuse and the peer pressure that often initiates it.

Possibly you’ve heard of our program for homeless men, and you’d like to see how we help.  The Gateway Project has meant a new beginning for many Victoria area homeless men, and holds the promise of assisting many more in the future.

Are you watching your budget and cutting every possible corner?  Then you need to check out our Thrift 'N' Gift Shop.  Filled with very gently used or new items donated by caring businesses and citizens throughout our service area, this little shop offers great bargains and an ever-changing inventory.

Or maybe you’re just a concerned Crossroads citizen, looking over our organization to see who we are and what we do, and would like to make a gift of your service.  Mid-Coast Family Services gratefully opens its doors to volunteers of all ages and abilities.  Volunteers are the backbone of charitable growth in America, and we’re proud of the good-hearted folks that have decided to dedicate their time and resources to the growth of our organization.
